Earlier this week, Sheridan community member Barbara Hodgson presented the proceeds of the 2016 Cancer Shootout trapshooting event to the Welch Cancer Center staff stating, “This year’s event was very successful with 40 participants. On behalf of the participants and our sponsors, I’m extremely proud to present this $2,000 check to the Welch Cancer Center. We all appreciate and are thankful to to have the Welch Cancer Center here in Sheridan providing local treatment options for our family and friends.” According to Renea Parker, Welch Cancer Center Office Coordinator, “We are so grateful for this generous donation from the Cancer Shootout. The funds will go to patient centered programs such as Patient Comfort Care, the Breast Boutique and Resource Room at the Welch Cancer Center. ” For more information on the services provided at the Welch Cancer Center, please contact Parker at 674-6022.
