At Sheridan Memorial Hospital Laboratory, we provide accurate, timely results using some of the most sophisticated, highly automated technology available today. Credentials You Can Trust
The Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and is certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) as a highly complex laboratory providing Microbiology, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunology, and Transfusion Medicine.
Sheridan Memorial Hospital Laboratory partners with Sheridan Pathology Associates, PC. Pathologists Dr. Rebecca Thompson, Laboratory Director, and Dr. Brian Menkhaus, hold certifications by Anatomic & Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. Sheridan Pathology Associates, PC is certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) in providing Cytology and Histology services.
Our Lab Services
Blood Draws
Sheridan Memorial Hospital uses two primary methods for obtaining blood samples: doctor-ordered and patient-directed blood draws.
Note: It’s important that you follow instructions on what foods and medicines can be taken before having your blood drawn.
Doctor-Ordered Blood Draws
- Medically necessary
- Provider ordering the blood draw will interpret the results, and the results will be posted in MySheridanHealth patient portal for patient review
- Blood draws are conveniently located at the Outpatient Center, 1333 West 5th Street, Suite 100, and at Primary Care, 61 S. Gould Street
- No scheduling needed
- Submitted to insurance and subject to insurance plan coverage, deductibles/copay
Patient-Directed Blood Draws
- Self-selected
- Results posted in MySheridanHealth patient portal for patient review unless requested otherwise
- Blood draw is at HealtheLife Fridays, held on the 3rd Friday of each month, from 6:30 – 11:30 am at Primary Care – 61 S. Gould Street
- Self scheduled online or by phone
- Self-paid. Patients may submit to their insurance.

Your Results
Results from testing and office visits at Sheridan Memorial Hospital and Clinics will be available to you online through MySheridanHealth.
