Breastfeeding & Newborn Care Class

Breastfeeding is natural, but it’s not always naturally easy. This class, led by a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) from our Women’s Health Department, provides essential guidance on breastfeeding basics and newborn care to help you feel confident and prepared.

 What you’ll learn:
 Breastfeeding expectations and strategies for success
 Latching techniques and nipple/breast care
 Breast pumps, pumping and diet considerations
 Newborn behavior and transition after delivery
 Newborn screenings and elective procedures
 Diaper care and basic car seat safety

Breastfeeding and caring for a newborn take time, practice and support. Our CLC will provide clear, accurate information and answer your questions, so you feel empowered and prepared for this exciting journey.
