Early Detection Saves Lives
3D mammography has been shown in clinical studies to be superior to standard digital mammography. It allows breast tissue to be examined layer by layer in one-millimeter layers.
A good analogy for a 3D mammogram is to think of the pages in a book. If you look down at the cover, you cannot see all the pages, but when you open it up, you can go through the entire book, page-by-page.
Mammograms are performed in Outpatient Radiology which is located in our Outpatient Center (1333 West 5th Street).
