Hospice Volunteers
Sometimes having a serious illness in the family can make it difficult to maintain usual household responsibilities and daily tasks, in addition to taking care of your ill family member.
This is where a hospice volunteer can be extremely helpful. Our volunteers can provide respite for caregivers and may be a companion to the patient while caregivers run errands or take a much-needed break.
Our volunteers are carefully selected and well-trained to work with the professional staff and to provide a variety of support for you and your family. They are good listeners, nonjudgmental, adaptable and have a strong desire to reach out with love and compassion to help others. Volunteers may be used on a regular schedule or on an on-call basis.
