Dr. Christopher Prior knew when he was a child that he wanted to go into the medical profession; he became an EMT when he was 16 years old and has been practicing medicine since 1997. He is an Army veteran who was awarded the Bronze Star and has experience working for the Department of Defense and VA serving active military and veterans. He has been a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians for over 20 years, where he has worked in many specialties, including emergency medicine, trauma, critical care, urgent care, obstetrics/gynecology, and pediatrics. He was also the medical director for the Special Olympics while stationed in Hawaii. Christopher moved to Sheridan in 2012 to raise his family, believing his daughters would have opportunities here that they wouldn’t elsewhere. When he’s not at work, he is with his family enjoying time he missed with them during his deployments. He coaches Sheridan Storm Topsoccer and believes laughter can sometimes be the best medicine.
